Just got a call from Brian... "Selly" from Billings, Montan, where this weeked he is competing in the local and regional qualifying event to attend the ReMax World Long Drive Championship in Mesquite, Nevada. Selly was calling just to let us know that he qualified for the Regional in Billings, by knocking the cover off the ball 350 yards into the wind, to qualify in 3rd place. This guy has had more than a few people tell him he should be going to Long Drive Championship events, and with his family's encouragement and support, HE'S on his way!!!
Congratulations, Brian! Good luck tomorrow, where he will be squaring off against the other qualifiers, in a double elimination, to see if he qualifies for heading to Mesquite in October.
I've got a picture of him cranking the ball, and I have only been able to retrieve those at 361 yards, as that is all the deeper our range is this year. But, once I jump the fence and chop the weeds down to the slough,
I know there are going to be more balls that he has launched out of our range "ballpark."
Good luck to you and your family this weekend, I hope that you smuck it further than all of your competitors, but then we're a little bit over the line on your side.
If you should see a small blue Honda CRV with a Chicago Cubs emblem for the spare tire, you need to watch this gorilla hit the ball!
I'll post again tomorrow, and hopefully this will reach the RC Journal, and if he doesn't call it in, I will!

"Lost Driving Range" today-July 13
Finished one of the teebox markers for Great Western Tire, will show it to them tmrow, thanks again, Jerry!
You're tomorrow, Gene. Mowed about 3 acres today & the birds love it. Tom the cat enjoyed his day in the sun also. Played the Executive this morning and Chip shot 2 over, to beat me by a stroke. Always play two balls there, picked up about another 20 balls out of the creek, and the course is in great shape. Will publish some pictures tomorrow of the days & weeks events. May have some models appearing soon, got to check about those matters tomorrow as well. Hope anyone reviewing this page enjoys the posts. Write more again soon! Thanks

The "Lost" Driving Range is an outdoor driving range soon to be developed into a indoor golf center and miniature golf course (2012).
The "lost" in driving range comes from the fact that the over 8,000 golf balls lost and discarded/used, and are all retrieved from area courses, as well as from travels of Rich Bode across the country. Golf is the greatest game going, known for excellent exercise from walking and being in the sun/outdoors, so if you think that you have lost your ability to enjoy life, or get some moderate exercise, please come out and give it a try. Rich was a competetive golfer for many years, and has instructed for well over 35 years. You have 13 acres to enjoy here, and although it is open and enjoyable, it is accessible from Elk Vale Road, 2/3 mile west; and Dyess Avenue, 200' east.
**Lessons are given everyday, FREE, from 6-7 pm**
Clubs are provided for men, women, juniors, and are available right or left handed
